On the basis of the marks obtained by candidates in the DMAT-2007 merit list will be prepared depending upon number of sanctioned seats. Remaining candidates up to a fixed number, will be kept in the waiting list.

Merit criteria in case of candidates with equal marks
Merit order of candidates having secured equal total marks will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in individual subjects arranged in order of their importance as follows :

 
1st     -     Zoology      2nd - Botany
3rd - Chemistry          4th - Physics
There after the person elder in age will be preferred.
SELECTION PROCEDURE – COMPUTERIZED ALLOTMENT:
The selection of the candidates for the Dental and Medical colleges will done strictly on the merit of DMAT-2007. The first computerized allotment to MBBS and BDS course and college will be done on the basis of the course and college preferences given by the candidate in the OMR Application Form of DMAT 2007 on merit-cum-preference basis. The allotted candidate will be issued allotment letter separately. The candidates must produce original certificates at the time of admission and three set of attested photocopy of each of the document as per the list given below:-

Canvassing directly or indirectly for the allotment of seat would disqualify the candidates for admission. Influencing the staff by unfair means will lead to cancellation of allotted seat and such candidate will also face disqualification for appearance in the subsequent DMAT 2007.

Candidates selected for admission shall be subject to disciplinary rules of University / Institution/ Government and Management.

A Candidate selected for any MBBS/BDS Course as per merit will not be allowed for change of college on mutual basis.

The selection made by the Admission Committee as per procedure is final and will be binding on the candidate.

Admission to the candidate will be given only after the candidates will deposit his/her all-relevant original certificates, documents alongwith the course fee through bank draft in favour of allotted college. Original certificates will be returned only after completion of internship.

CENTERLIZED COUNSELLING FOR VACANT SEATS AFTER
FIRST COMPUTERIZED ALLOTMENT

The allotment of vacant seats available after first allotment shall be made to the candidate through open counseling on the basis of personal appearances. Councelling shall be done on merit cum option basis. The counseling committee will consist of :

(i) All Members of Admission Committee all or any one as per the decision of Admission Committee.
(ii) All the Deans / Director of Medical/Dental Colleges and the members of APDMC.

(iii) Controller of DMAT 2007 examination.

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in first allotment on merit cum-preference basis, because of any reason could not joined the allotted institution are also eligible to participate in open counseling.

The programme for counseling shall be advertised in the leading newspapers of the State. Counselling programme shall also be available on website of the Association. Separate call letters will not be sent.

Candidates shall have to travel for the counseling at their own cost.

Candidates shall not be allowed to enter the area specified for counseling without showing the DMAT-2007 Examination Mark Sheet.

The candidate without original document as mentioned in Para 19 shall not be eligible to participate in counseling.

The candidates are required to come to Bhopal one day before the date of counseling. The candidate shall wait for their turn in the order of merit. They shall be called in small group of 10-20 for scrutiny i.e. verification of original documents and if found eligible, shall further be permitted on next day for the counseling where they shall exercise their option for allotment of any one of the available seats which shall be final and the same shall be allotted to them on the spot and the allotment letter shall be issued on payment of 20, 000/- as advance fee by draft in favour of APDMC, Bhopal. The student will have to join respective allotted college with balance of tuition fees i.e Rs. 2, 60,000/- for Medical College & Rs.1, 65,000/- for Dental College within eight days of allotment. If he/she fails to join the college as mentioned then his admission will be cancelled. This deposit is non refundable & if a candidate fails to join the college this deposit will be forfeited.

If a Candidate due to any unavoidable circumstances does not remain present on the date and time fixed for them for scrutiny of the documents and counseling then such candidate, if they come afterwards, shall be considered only at the stage, where the counseling is in progress irrespective of their merit. They shall be considered only if the counseling is going on, and allotment done before to other candidates on the basis of their merit shall remain unchanged. Such candidates those who are absent or those who could not participate in the counseling due to incomplete documents shall be called in the next counseling, if seats still remain vacant.

DISQUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION

Any candidate himself or his authorized proxy if found obstructing the admission process or creating nuisance, the candidate shall be liable for disqualification from the admission process. The decision taken by the College Authority shall be final and binding.

Notwithstanding anything stated in the Rules here-in-above , a candidate who was allotted a seat in previous year(s) and who vacates/abandon it after availing the said seat, has completed such a period of course which would result into lapse of the said seat, will not be eligible for admission unless he produces a No Objection Certificate from the college whose seat has been lapsed due to the candidate concerned
